Our team at Nevada Diabetes Association have developed a handful of support programs to help adults, teens, and young adults navigate their diabetes journey.

DCAF – Diabetes in Children and Families Support Group

Diabetic Children and Family Support Group and Reno Family Support Group-  are  special and supportive environment for parents and children to learn about diabetes management. Features include: guest speakers, youth activities, special events and parties. DCAF Connections has helped ease the pain and frustration of newly diagnosed families and veteran families as well. This group has created a forum for those affect by diabetes to come and share thoughts, ideas and ease suffering.

Las Vegas meets quarterly at the Nevada Diabetes Association Southern Office in Las Vegas, Nv at 6:00 – 7:00pm. *Location may vary by event*

DIABETES DAY ONE FAMILY SUPPORT

The Diabetes Day One Family Support group provides a welcoming, year-round community for individuals and families navigating life with diabetes in Northern and Southern Nevada. This program offers guest speakers, youth activities, childcare, special events, and ongoing support meetings to help families manage diabetes together.

For newly diagnosed families, Diabetes Day One has been a lifeline, easing the challenges of diabetes management and creating a space to share experiences, gain knowledge, and build lasting connections. Through compassion and education, we empower families to take control of their diabetes journey with confidence.

TEEN SUPPORT INJECTION CONNECTION

Injection Connection is a  year-round event for teens with diabetes and friends ages 12-17. Together we bridge the gap in-between camps and medical appointments to continue to help teens with diabetes succeed and maintain a healthy lifestyle all year long, provide diabetes education and support for teens and friends in hard transitional years, laugh together with other people with diabetes and educate friends without diabetes in a fun atmosphere, and provide answers from medical professionals in a safe environment.

DKA: DIABETICS KINDA ADULTING

Diabetics Kind Adulting is a support group where young adults can stay connected, supported, and redefine diabeges on their terms.

If you are 18+ and out of high school. Get together with other young adults living with diabetes. Camp fam and other support partners without T1D are always welcome! Events and Times are all located on calendar.
